Cecropia Moth

OBSERVATION:
I attached a photo taken of a Cecropia Moth. It was on the steps into work. We had had a very hard rain around 6 AM and it must have got caught out in it (it's nocturnal) it sat there for a couple of hours drying out before flying away.
The Cecropia Moth (Hyalophora cecropia), is the largest moth in North America. This one measured  5.5 inches across the wings. It starts as a caterpillar that grows to approximately 4.5 inches and so builds a large cocoon.
