Baby Snapping Turtles

OBSERVATION: The turtles pictured are hatching September 27, 2003.  Located at the Honeoye NY public library, in the garden near the entrance,  the young were observed exiting the nest between 1100 am and 1115 am.  The Honeoye Lake outlet runs next to the library, approximately 50 feet west of the photo location.
