Loon Scientists Program:
ACLP brings the practical study of loons into 7th grade classrooms throughout the Adirondack Park with our week-long "Loon Scientists" Program. Students become loon scientists themselves as they 6th grade Loon Scientistsparticipate in a variety of activities and interactive slide shows to learn about loon natural history, environmental and human-related problems affecting loon populations, and what can be done to improve the environment for loons and other wildlife.

Science on the Fly!:
An innovative education program that illustrates how the ACLP uses the scientific process to study common loon migration.  Designed around the NYS Teaching Standards, students can use a truly interactive website, view an integrated classroom DVD, and get personal accounts from ACLP experts as they learn the steps of successful scientific inquirey.

Teacher Information:
Teachers, if you would like to bring our "Loon Scientists" Program to your school, please download our Loon Scientists brochure (pdf file) for more information, and contact ACLP to schedule the Program for your class. We look forward to meeting you and your class!
